Tacswap Groups: Owner Guidelines & Responsibilities

Tacswap Groups are designed to strengthen the community, enable discussion, and support lawful, compliant engagement around gear, knowledge, and shared interests.

With that access comes responsibility.

This document serves as the official guideline for all Group Owners and Managers. It defines expectations, enforcement standards, and the role you play in maintaining the integrity of the Tacswap platform.

1. Owner Responsibility & Accountability

Group Owners are fully responsible for everything that occurs within their Group.

This includes:

  • Posts and discussions
  • Listings shared within the Group
  • Comments and member interactions
  • Actions taken (or not taken) by Managers

Ownership is not passive. Creating a Group means you are actively responsible for maintaining order, enforcing rules, and ensuring compliance with Tacswap standards.

Failure to meet these expectations may result in:

  • Warnings or restrictions
  • Removal of Group content
  • Suspension or permanent loss of Group ownership

Tacswap treats Group ownership as a position of trust—not just access.

2. No Circumvention of Tacswap Listings

Tacswap’s Listings Feed exists to provide:

  • Structured transactions
  • Platform protections
  • Consistent moderation
  • A trusted marketplace experience

Groups are not a replacement for the Listings Feed.

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Attempting to sell items directly in Groups to avoid listing fees
  • Redirecting users to complete transactions off-platform
  • Using Groups as a parallel or shadow marketplace
  • Encouraging others to bypass Tacswap systems after discovery

All listings must originate from Tacswap’s official listing creation flow.

Any attempt to bypass platform systems undermines user trust and puts both the Group and Owner account at risk.

Violations may result in:

  • Immediate removal of content
  • Group suspension or deletion
  • Permanent account action

3. Use of Managers & Active Moderation

Group Owners are expected to maintain active oversight of their Groups.

If Owners are unable to do so consistently, they must assign trusted Managers.

Owners and Managers are expected to:

  • Monitor Group activity on a regular basis
  • Remove prohibited or non-compliant content promptly
  • Respond to reports and issues in good faith
  • Enforce both Tacswap policies and Group-specific rules

Inactive or negligent moderation will be treated as non-compliance.

Tacswap may review any Group at any time. If a Group is found to be unmoderated or poorly managed, corrective action will follow.

4. Lawful & Platform-Compliant Content

All activity within Tacswap Groups must comply with:

  • Federal, state, and local laws
  • Tacswap Terms of Service
  • Platform policies and enforcement standards

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Illegal activity or facilitation of illegal transactions
  • Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading content
  • Misrepresentation of items, identity, or intent

Ignorance of the law or platform rules does not exempt enforcement.

Owners are expected to proactively prevent and remove non-compliant content.

5. Respectful Community Conduct

Tacswap Groups exist to build a strong, aligned community—not to enable toxicity or hostility.

The following behaviors are not permitted:

  • Harassment or personal attacks
  • Threats or intimidation
  • Hate speech or discriminatory content
  • Targeted abuse of individuals or groups
  • Encouraging unsafe or unlawful behavior

Disagreements are expected. Disrespect is not.

Group Owners must foster an environment that reflects professionalism, accountability, and mutual respect.

Tacswap reserves the right to intervene when Groups degrade community standards.

6. Enforcement & Platform Oversight

Tacswap actively monitors platform health and may review Groups at any time.

Enforcement may occur with or without prior notice.

Actions may include:

  • Removal of specific posts or content
  • Temporary suspension of Group activity
  • Permanent deletion of a Group
  • Account warnings, restrictions, or termination

When evaluating violations, Tacswap considers:

  • Severity of the issue
  • Intent behind the behavior
  • Frequency or pattern of violations

Repeated or deliberate violations will result in escalated enforcement.

7. Acceptance & Ongoing Obligation

By creating or managing a Tacswap Group, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You understand and accept these guidelines
  • You are responsible for enforcing them within your Group
  • Your Group is subject to ongoing review and enforcement
  • Tacswap retains full authority over platform integrity and moderation decisions

These responsibilities are continuous—not one-time.

Final Note

Tacswap Groups are a powerful extension of the platform.

When run correctly, they:

  • Strengthen the community
  • Drive high-quality engagement
  • Support trusted transactions

When misused, they undermine everything the platform is built on.

Operate accordingly.
